Our activity for today was to take a drive and look at some Christmas lights...more specifically, we went to see Adam's Aunt Marg and Uncle Raymond's property. Every year they set up an amazing display of Christmas lights throughout their backyard. It is worth the drive over there to see it and I hear they attracted quite a crowd after the Wyevale Santa Claus parade!
Ella, Harrison and I drove to Penetang to pick up Adam after hockey and then we headed over to Marg and Raymond's. As we were driving up the road, we noticed complete darkness and got a little worried. Adam went in to ask if we could see the lights and apparently the lights don't start to turn on until closer to 6 pm...it was about a quarter to 6. So, we went in for a little visit and Ella was able to watch from one of the windows as each set of lights came on. After they all came on, we went outside for a little walk through the yard.
I can remember going for a drive each winter to look at the lights, so it was nice to do this with our kids. Hopefully we will get out to do it every year as they are growing up! The funniest part of the evening was when we were leaving Ella said "Bye Poppa and Grandma". I thought it was the cutest thing. We don't see Marg and Raymond very often, but Ella walked right in and made herself comfortable. Here are a couple of pictures that show a very small amount of the lights. I didn't get a chance to take anymore - but maybe you should go and see for yourself!
2 more sleeps!!
